Straight Ahead, the band, has played hundreds of weddings, countless anniversary parties, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, bar and bat mitzvahs, picnics and boat cruises, barbecue’s and black tie extravaganzas.

Our talent for reading the crowd is as prized as our talent for good musical taste and execution. We get to know you, we understand the dynamics of all kinds of parties. You will not always need the 8 or 9 piece band with the full horn section. Sometimes a trio does the job, often your guests want to visit and chat and we let them. But when it is time to dance, bet you can’t keep your feet from hitting the floor.

We go out of our way to provide the best swing, Sinatra, jazz, Latin, rock ‘ n roll, disco, Motown, R & B, and appropriate ethnic music for your occasion. Special requests are our priority. We play weddings in New York, New Jersey, Long Island, Pennsylvania, New England, Upstate, the Hamptons, Connecticut, Boston, Newport, East Coast and beyond.
